Connect. Collaborate. Make an Impact.
The Green Chemistry Initiative (GCI) welcomes opportunities to collaborate with student organizations, academic groups, campus communities, and interdisciplinary student teams at Georgia State University.
As a faculty-led initiative, GCI provides opportunities for students to connect their interests and talents with green chemistry education, sustainability awareness, research, and community engagement.
We believe meaningful change happens when students from different disciplines and backgrounds come together to share ideas, contribute their skills, and take action toward a safer and more sustainable future.
Whether you represent an established student organization or are an individual student interested in sustainability, we welcome your participation.
1. Who Can Participate?

4. Faculty Guidance and Collaboration
The Green Chemistry Initiative is a faculty-led initiative at Georgia State University. Collaborative activities are coordinated under the guidance of the GCI Director and in alignment with GCI’s mission, program priorities, and applicable university requirements.
GCI welcomes student ideas, contributions, and initiative. The GCI Director provides overall program oversight and approval of official GCI activities, communications, and institutional representation.
Participation in a collaborative activity does not automatically establish a formal affiliation, chapter, or leadership role within GCI. Each collaboration is developed according to its purpose, scope, available resources, and mutual interests.
This approach encourages meaningful student involvement while maintaining clear coordination and continuity across GCI programs.
5. Connect and Collaborate with GCI
Are you part of a student organization, campus group, or interested in contributing as an individual student?
