I am grateful to see our work at Georgia State University’s Green Chemistry Initiative highlighted in a recent university story.

One of the most rewarding parts of being an educator is helping students discover how science can make a positive difference in the world. Through green chemistry, we encourage students to think not only about scientific innovation, but also about sustainability, safety, and responsibility.

Every semester, I am inspired by the creativity and enthusiasm of our students. Their commitment to finding solutions for environmental challenges gives me great optimism for the future.

This recognition belongs to the many students, colleagues, and partners who have contributed to our shared mission. Together, we are helping prepare a new generation of scientists who will build a more sustainable world.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.
