We sincerely thank Dr. John Warner and Dr. Paul Anastas, who developed the 12 principles of green chemistry, for inspiring the vision of this initiative.

We also sincerely thank the GSU University Laboratory Safety Committee for their thoughtful consideration of our proposed recommendation and for championing the integration of the 12 principles of green chemistry into the university laboratory safety manual in 2026, helping move us toward a more sustainable future in science.
