The Green Chemistry Awareness Day program was founded, designed, and coordinated by the Green Chemistry Initiative at Georgia State University, with consultative input, planning assistance, and on-site support provided by participating faculty, staff, and student volunteers. Their contributions helped ensure successful event preparation, implementation, and participant engagement.
Program Founder and Director

Founded and leads Green Chemistry Awareness Day, advancing sustainability education and designing the program’s agenda, activities, partnerships, and sponsorship strategy.
Faculty Input and Event Support Team
Faculty team members provide consultative input, event planning support, and on-site assistance to help ensure the success of Green Chemistry Awareness Day. Members are listed alphabetically by last name.

Leads Green Chemistry Awareness Day event set-up, coordinating logistics, displays, materials, and activity spaces to support successful event implementation.

Leads the poster session, including poster organization, display setup, and coordination of the judging process.

Leads event day student engagement, assessment, impact evaluation, and preparation of the post-event report. Helps lead and coordinate the poster session, and assist with event setup on the day of the event.

Leads flyer distribution across campus prior to GCAD to promote participation and awareness. Also assists with event day setup and closeout.

Student Leadership Volunteer Support
Student Leadership Volunteers provide leadership and operational support for Green Chemistry Awareness Day by working closely with Dr. Cui to coordinate student volunteers, assist with event logistics, support activity setup and closeout, and help ensure the successful execution of event programming. They also help lead the event’s visual design efforts, including the photo wall, awards, certificates, prizes, and other materials that enhance participant engagement and celebrate achievements.
